Building Balanced Leaders for the world's communities
Here at Sigma Phi Epsilon we pride ourselves in being different from other fraternities. We don't have a pledge program like every other fraternity. Instead we have replaced the pledge program with the Balanced Man Program. This program is aimed towards continuous improvement over your entire college career. It consists of leadership training, personal reflection and development, and community service.

The WY Alpha chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon provides everything that college students are looking for while addressing all of stated concerns. We offer an extensive local and national social network and we are the largest fraternity in the nation. Our social network exceeds the undergraduate level into the workforce through our many involved alumni.
On a chapter level we help students to succeed academically by offering a study program with incentives for study hours and for doing well on tests. We also have a sound body program which consists of working out together and pushing ourselves to become stronger better men.
Money- The issue of money is something that is a concern to everyone that considers joining a fraternity. Our fraternity offers many life changing experiences and assets at a competitive price. We have a well kept house (basically a mansion) that room's 43 members and has a private parking lot located directly on campus that prices equivalent to the dorms. In addition to rooming the house has a meeting room, a dance floor, a recreation room (pool, ping pong, etc...), and a movie room.
Time- This is a concern that all students on campus can understand. At Sigma Phi Epsilon we feel that good time management is the best way to deal with this problem and provide services to help our members manage their time more effectively. We find that with effective management we can get more accomplished and have more free time to ourselves.
Hazing- Hazing is illegal and as a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon you will be treated with respect from day one. We will not haze nor will we tolerate any of our members hazing others.
Grades- Grades are extremely important to the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon. With the highest national average GPA of any fraternity we continually strive to be at the top of our game. We have a University of Wyoming honors course held in our chapter twice a week and have study hours that enable the members to do better in their studies. Doing well in school is why we are here so we make it one of our highest priorities to do well.
I'm Interested!, Now what?
The WY Alpha chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon takes great pride in recruiting the best men on campus. We believe in a professional process that prepares the recruit for what will be expected of him in the real world. Our process consists of:
- Meeting the recruit at a recruitment or house event
- Interviewing with the recruit (formal) to ask and answer questions
- Having a second follow-up interview
- Extending a bid if the recruitment committee chooses to do so
- New recruit accepts the bid and becomes a member from day one
